The Z-AB is a traditional
range of fire alarm bells, rugged
in construction and producing a
clear ringing sound, for many years
associated with fire detection and
alarm systems. The units are reliable,
well proven and have been used extensively
as general purpose alarm sounders.
ZF-MES1
Conventional Electronic Sounder, PS1225.2
The ZF-MES1
is a low profile alarm sounder,
developed for general purpose use
in fire detection and alarm systems.
It is aesthetically designed, offering
a high sound output with low current
consumption, allowing where required
substantial numbers of sounders
to be driven by relatively small
control panels.
Easy to install,
the sounder features an attractive
high impact ABS plastic enclosure,
available in either red or white,
and is installed using a range of
deep or shallow, plug in bases.
Units are polarised for system monitoring
and provided with both in and out
wiring terminals.
The
ZF-BDS1 is a flat, slim profile,
electronic sounder, designed for
ceiling mounting. By providing a
platform for detector and base,
the ZF-BDS1 offers a single installation
point for both detector and sounder.
It is especially cost effective
in residential buildings, where
the recommendations of BS 5839 Pt:1
1988 of 75 dBA sound output at each
bed head, usually means the provision
of a sounder in each bedroom.
When installed
using 4 core cable, in place of
separate circuits for both detectors
and sounders, substantial reductions
can often be achieved in both wiring
costs and installation time. Units
are polarised for system monitoring
and provided with both in and out
wiring terminals.
Developed
for use in systems where audible
alarms alone would be impractical,
for example areas with high levels
of background noise, residential
establishments with occupants who
may be infirmed or hard of hearing
or manufacturing locations where
intense industrial noise demands
the use of ear protection, the ZF-XBS1
provides both audible and visual
warning from a single unit.
Featuring a
combination of outputs the ZF-XBS1,
can minimise the number of installation
points required throughout a building,
significantly lowering both the
capital value of equipment and the
wiring costs of the completed system.
ZF-XB
Xenon Beacon, PS1230.2
Designed
to compliment audible alarms, the
ZF-XB range of xenon beacons provides
high intensity, visual signals for
applications where alarm sounders
alone would prove to be ineffective,
or inappropriate for evacuating
occupied premises.
In systems where
high levels of background noise
prohibit the use of audible alarms,
residential establishments with
occupants who may be infirmed or
hard of hearing or manufacturing
areas where intense industrial noise
demands the use of ear protection,
the visual indication of alarms
may become necessary.
202
Series Strobe Unit, PS1419.1
The 202 series strobe
units are high output visual alarm
devices, designed to compliment
compatible fire detection system
alarm circuits. They are ideal for
applications where alarm sounders
alone may prove ineffective for
evacuating occupied premises.
In systems where
high levels of background noise
prohibit the use of audible alarms,
residential establishments with
occupants who may be infirmed or
hard of hearing, or in manufacturing
areas where intense industrial noise
demands the use of ear protection,
the visual indication of alarms
may become necessary.
Genesis
Ceiling Horn/Strobe Units, PS1677.1
Genesis ceiling sounder/strobe
units are designed to provide audiovisual
alarm in a single enclosure.
The device is
suitable for installation on ceilings
or walls, in indoor applications
where a high sound and light output
are required and where alarm sounders
alone may prove ineffective for
evacuating occupied premises.
Genesis Horn/Strobe Units, PS1678.1
The Genesis
range of combined sounder/strobes
provides an audiovisual alarm in
a single enclosure. All units are
designed to provide high sound and
light output.
Less than 25mm
deep when flush fixed, Genesis'
ultra low profile makes it ideal
for most building types, as an audio
visual alarm for applications where
alarm sounders alone may prove ineffective
for evacuating occupied premises.
Genesis
Horn Sounder Units, PS1679.1
Genesis is a range
of low profile alarm sounders, developed
for use in fire detection systems,
where a high sound output is required
from a small, discrete unit.
Less than 25mm
deep when flushed fixed Genesis
horn sounders are attractive and
effective in most building types
and applications.
Genesis
Horn Sounder/Strobe Units, PS1680.1
Genesis strobe
units provide visual alarms, with
selectable light outputs across
a wide intensity range.
Less than 25mm deep
when flush fixed, Genesis' ultra
low profile makes it ideal for most
building types, as a visual alarm
for applications where alarm sounders
alone may prove ineffective for
evacuating occupied premises.
ZC6-CP1
Conventional Callpoint, PS1222.3
The ZC6-CP1 is a conventional
callpoint of rugged design, providing
a manual means of initiating a fire
alarm. The provision of all callpoints
is a requirement of BS 5839 Part1:1988
Code of practice for Fire Detection
and Alarm Systems in Buildings in
all system types, both for the protection
of life or property.
Complying with BS
5839 Part 2 and pr EN 54 Part 11,
the ZC6-CP1 is approved by several
international approval bodies, including
the loss Prevention Certification
Board (LPCB).
The
ZC6-CPN1 is a waterproof, surface
mounting, call point, providing
a manual means of initiating a fire
alarm. Rated at IP 67, the unit
is designed for outdoor use, or
applications where the ingress of
water can be expected, for example
where hygiene requirements demand
regular washing or hosing down of
the protected area.
Complying with
BS 5839 Part 2 and pr EN 54 Part
11, the ZC6-CPN1 is approved by

ZF-MR1
Magnetic Door Release Unit, PS1232.2
The ZF-MR1
is an unobtrusive door retaining
unit designed to hold fire doors,
in the open position, on busy corridors,
yet on a fire condition allowing
them to automatically close.
The unit consists
of two separate parts, a door plate
which is fitted to the fire door
and a solenoid usually installed
on the wall, or (using the bracket
supplied separately) to the floor.
Doors are held in the open position,
against self closing mechanisms,
when the solenoid is energised and
are automatically released when
current is switched by the fire
alarm panel.
ZDP3
Duct Probe Unit, PS1590.2
Z-DP3 duct probe
units, enable a standard smoke detector
or sensor to monitor the contents
of extract ducting, be unaffected
by dust and dirt in the air flow
and be accessible for maintenance.
Two versions are available, the
Z-DP3-Z6BS1 for fitting a conventional
detector and the Z-DP3-Z7SB1 for
analogue addressable sensors, (either
ordered separately).
Z-RL1
Remote LED Unit - Circular Base, PS1236.1
The siting
of detectors in confined or concealed
spaces, often results in the red
indicator on the device moulding
becoming obscured or hidden. In
order to show clearly the state
of detectors when installed in areas
such as ceiling or floor voids,
the Z-RL1 remote LED indicator can
be wired to the detector base and
installed in any prominent position.
The Z-RL1 has
a high intensity red LED indicator
positioned centrally on a white,
circular, plastic moulding. The
unit is designed to fit onto a standard
recessed or surface mounting circular
conduit box and is connected by
flying leads to the detector base
wiring. Terminals are provided in
both Z6-BS and Z6-BR series bases
for connection to the remote unit.
Z-RL3
Remote LED Unit Square Base, PS1237.2
The siting of detectors
in confined or concealed spaces,
often results in the red indicator
